The AC 166® G series is the succeeding model to the prior system AC 166® Classic. The AC 166® G series complies with the more rigid requirements of the EN 60320 standard with regards to protection against electric shock from the mains connection of the socket.
Quick Delivery Program - AC 166® Cables
Short-term supply of components is of particular importance for flexible installation. Adels-Contact, manufacturer of the installation system AC 166®, has responded to that need with an adapted stock sourcing and production planning. The timely supply of cord sets presents a particular challenge seeing that neither all lengths nor all types of cables and connectors can be stored. For that special need, Adels offers quick delivery program. For further details please click here.
That smallest installation plug connector series is only half the size of the “big brother” AC166® and is therefore ideally suited for the installation in small spaces. Connectors type AC 164 are in their high variant without strain relief unique and ideally suited for the application in luminaires and appliances
The Safe, Flexible Installation
Office buildings, stands at fairs or big stores: in all applications where flexibility, safety and cost efficiency is a priority, our installation systems AC 166® and AC 164 are the ultimate solution. Constantly increasing labour costs make the labour time needed to connect common installation materials a costly element of the project. The AC 166® and AC 164 systems reduce these costs to a minimum. Components within luminaires, devices and sockets, pre-assembled cables and distributors permit a continuous "plug and play" installation. Laborious cutting to length and stripping as well as connecting by conventional installation material can thus be waived.
Safe plug and socket connectors with or without interlocking reduce failure rate to a minimum. Time consuming reworking is no longer necessary.
Protection against incorrect Plugging
The plug and socket systems AC 166® and AC 164 are fully protected against incorrect plugging.
Connecting and disconnecting under load is possible in compliance with EN 60320 and EN 61984. According to EN 61535 installation couplers are intended to be connected without load only. When used in easily accessible areas it is stipulated to use locking pins that may be removed by auxiliary tool only. Compliance with the EN 61535 standard does not guarantee hazardavoiding non-interchangeability with connecting systems of various manufacturers. Current rating depends on conductor cross-sections resp. on track dimensions. Our connecting system shall not be used as replacement for the national household connector and socket system.
